I. HEART ATTITUDES / BROKENNESS
We value an attitude of the heart that recognizes its emptiness and inadequacies without Christ. Before we as a church will ever display someone’s talents, we must first see that the individual has a servant's heart. We believe a heart that is right insures us that our talents will be used right.
II. SEEKERS / PRE-CHRISTIANS
We value people who have not yet entrusted themselves to Jesus Christ. At Crossroads we believe evangelism is a process and that the most effective means of seeing this evangelism process occur in the life of a seeker is through relationships. However, we will use many strategies and approaches to achieve our goals in regards to this value.
III. GOD'S LOVE / GRACE
We believe that God's Grace is twofold. One, God loves us unconditionally. There is nothing we can do to make God love us more or less. In Christ, God sees all of us as forgiven and perfect! Two, God's work and power in our life is conditional. God will not work in and through our lives unless we allow Him to. We can grieve the Holy Spirit and therefore forfeit the Spirit's work in and through us.
IV. CELL GROUPS / COMMUNITY
A place where people can come and belong. We believe in small groups where people can find intimacy, honesty and acceptance. Cell groups provide the best care anywhere. The cell group is designed for ministering, mentoring, mobilizing and multiplying. The cell groups at Crossroads will be the skeleton of our church. Without them we lose our ability to be strong and supportive.
V. LEADERSHIP / COACHING
At Crossroads we place a very high value on empowering people to fulfill their God-given design. Therefore, we will place a great deal of our time into those who will, in turn, invest their lives in others. We believe there is no success without a successor, and every basket in a basketball game is made with ten hands.
VI. WORSHIP / CELEBRATION
We value worship that is both celebrative and reflective. We allow freedom of worship with sensitivity towards the pre- Christian or seeker. (1 Corinthians 9:19)
VII. APPLICATION OF THE BIBLE /TRANSFORMATION
We believe that the relevant teaching of God's Word combined with application to daily life leads to successful transformations. It is the Scriptures that point us to a relationship with Jesus Christ as the way to crossover to a successful life. We value life change and personal involvement in helping others become a success at life. In other words, we believe a mature Christian is a ministering Christian. Therefore, we do not value information only.
